HMRC have today confirmed that the electronic messages used in i2i's EMCS Online service have been tested and have passed all the required checks.  This means that our service now complies with the FS2 requirements which will be implemented on 1st January 2012.

EMCS Online is an online service which can be used as a simple manual entry system if you are a small organisation needing to process a few EMCS submission each month.    For large companies shipping goods 24 / 7 / 365 and who need to give the weighbridge the ability to make submissions out of normal office hours, we can fully automate this so that your business system and your office staff keep control.
FS2 - Next stage of EMCS live January 2012FS2 - Next stage of EMCS live January 2012 - 11 August 2011
From 1st January 2012 new functionality will be added to EMCS.
1.  Users will be able to send and receive new messages for 'alert' and 'rejection' of movements.  This means that if a consignment is incorrect or incomplete, then the consignee can be notified before the goods arrive.  This will enable them to accept the goods as they actually are and not as originally declared.
2. Traders moving energy products will be able to split a movement.  When a Consignor sends a consignment of energy products intended for different destinations, this can be split into two or more parts, by submitting a series of draft eADs to replace the original one.

This functionality will not be available through the HMRC online service.
